Sludge Treatment: Sludge Reduction technology

Several technologies are available to reduce the amount of sludge produced. Some of those like anaerobic digestion, thermolysis and wet air oxidation act after sludge is produced.

Ondeo Industrial Solutions has developed an innovative technology to reduce sludge before it is produced. BioControl™ can lower biological sludge production, by up to 80%.

BioControl™ requires little investment since it consists of the addition of a bacterial growth control tank and minor adjustments of existing installations. BioControl™ can also increase BOD5 treatment capacity, it maintains sludge quality, and reduces needs for equipment in the case of new constructions.

BioControl™ is only sold in association with one of three service packs:

• Technical Assistance contract
• Operations and maintenance of sludge related equipment
• Operations and maintenance of the complete effluent treatment plant

In addition, we can manage and optimize disposal costs by including sludge transportation and disposal in the above packages.
