Sanofi-Aventis is a world leader in the Pharmaceuticals sector. The Neuville and La Vertolaye plants produce active principles for pharmacy.

On these two sites, Sanofi-Aventis wanted a partner, bringing its technological expertise, for its wastewater and incineration operations through a result-based contract. Social aspects were a key issue for Sanofi-Aventis.

A partnership was signed between SUEZ and Sanofi-Aventis to pool together the group's resources in wastewater treatment (Ondeo IS) and waste management. The partnership called for a Joint-Venture that allowed the seamless integration of the resources needed to operate the systems.

Through SUEZ competencies and our solutions-based approach; Sanofi-Aventis can access best practices in water and waste management. It allows them to have optimised operations and maintenance of environmental installations and excellent environmental records.
