Celestica is a well-known producer of electronic cards. It has one very big manufacturing plant in Italy where cards are assembled for a lot of electronic industries as IBM, Nortel, Marconi, SUN, Nokia, Cisco, Pirelli etc.
Celestica has always placed environment and safety issues at the top of of its values.

The Vimercate site needed a partner that could solve its effluent concentration problems and design and implement water recycling schemes.

After careful analysis of Celestica’s needs, Ondeo Industrial Solutions designed and built a wastewater treatment plant and a process water plant using ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis. The system integrates effluent concentration, accepts recycling as demineralised water and evaporation of the rejects. Following the successful construction of the plant, Celestica signed a 4-year operations and maintenance contract which allows them to concentrate on their assembly process.
